Etihad Credit Insurance (ECI) is a public joint stock company owned by the UAE federal government and its founders, the government of the emirates of Abu Dhabi, the government of the emirates of Dubai, the government of the emirates of Ras Al Khaimah, the government of the emirates of Fujairah and the government of the emirates of Ajman
Etihad Credit Insurance was established as part of the UAE's 2021 vision, which aims to implement economic diversification policies, and reduce the dependence on oil resources as a source of income, in preparation for the inevitable post- oil era therefore ECI's primary purpose as per the provisions of its statute issued by the cabinet is to insure commercial and non-commercial risks associated with the export and re-export of goods and services .
